VP Senior Trust Manager – First PREMIER Bank
About the Role
As the VP, Senior Trust Manager at First PREMIER Bank, you will be responsible for the overall support, leadership and growth of a team of trust administration professionals. The team facilitates successful wealth management relationships and ongoing administration of client’s personal trusts and agency accounts. This position is also responsible for growing existing and new customer and referral relationships. You and your team will provide value to First PREMIER Bank’s clients through review and administration of trust agreements, legal documents, policy statements, etc. while providing fiduciary oversight. The team ensures compliance with federal and state tax authorities, along with internal policies. Strong leadership and relationship skills along with applicable wealth management experience are both a prerequisite for this key management role.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Lead, coach and mentor team of trust professionals.
Coordinate with applicable departments and team members to ensure company, client goals and objectives are reached.
Coordinate new business development with other team members, departments and centers of influence.
Communicate and model the vison and values of the organization to create a sense of teamwork among employees.
Serve on bank committees and contribute to strategic bank initiatives as assigned.
Be an active member of community boards in industry trade organizations when applicable.
Maintain and enhance standards of policies, procedures and various trust, bank systems.
Oversee compliance with all federal and state regulations pertaining to the various forms of trust administration.
Administer book of business as assigned.
Skills and Qualifications
Must possess a Law Degree and basic understanding of Estate Planning, banking, financial and investment systems.
Combination of accounting degree or experience required that would enable incumbent to meet essential functions and required competencies of the position.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
Attention to detail, analytical and problem-solving skills.
Must know and understand federal and state regulations associated with nature of Trust business.
