We held an SDTA volunteer day at Feeding South Dakota in Rapid City and Sioux Falls where members packed backpacks of food for students in need to take home over the weekend. It’s a fun competition between the Rapid City and Sioux Falls locations to see who can pack more backpacks, but it’s the students who really win.
Through the generous contributions of SDTA members, we made $25,000 in grants to Feeding South Dakota, as well as the YMCA Children’s Food Program and Habitat for Humanity locations in both Rapid City and Sioux Falls from the SDTA donor advised fund (Trust for the Future Fund) at the South Dakota Community Foundation during 2023.
